January 10 - Philips 3D brings the WOW! to CES
The last three days on the show floor have been packed with press interviews and customer demos about our 3D products. The main eye-catcher is the 132" 3D WOWzone wall; since the beginning it's been a huge draw at the booth, with people literally calling out "WOW!" when they see it. Overall, 3D is one of the biggest hot topics at CES this year- The key difference is that our 3D displays have been created with simplicity in mind, without the need to wear special glasses, making it a much more easily accessible 3D experience to enjoy. People are very excited to be able to see 3D without special aids and it's getting a lot of attention. Check out what Reuters writer Kenneth Li had to say: CES: Philips 3-D TV, geeks get dizzy . January 10 - Music when and where you want it
On Sunday, Philips announced a partnership with Rhapsody for our Streamium home audio, and GoGear portable, products. At both Philips' and Rhapsody's booths you can check out the experience... and in case you are interested in winning some very cool products that work with the music subscription service, make sure you drop by the Rhapsody booth to play the "Wheel of Real"... where your music knowledge is put to the test! January 10 - We won and then won again...truly exciting.
As you might know, Philips 42" PFL5603D "Eco TV" was a finalist for CNET's "Best of CES" award. Philips not only won in the TV category, but it also snagged the coveted "Best of CES" awards. To be picked as the best TV out of all the TVs on the floor was amazing, but to be selected as what CNET considered to be THE PRODUCT of the entire show is tremendous. To say we are overwhelmed here on the show floor is an understatement. This TV also won a CEA Innovations award - so I think you can clearly see it is a TV to have! Read about this tv or see it on video at CNET. "At CNET, we take HDTV power consumption seriously, which helps explain our excitement when Philips announced its Eco TV. The 42-inch, 1080p resolution, flat-panel LCD, model 42PFL5603D (due in March, $1,399 MSRP), is packed with power-saving features." Lindsay Woods - Philips CES Blogger ![]()
