Philips energizes portable entertainment with new Power4Life range
LAS VEGAS - Philips is firing up a new range of power solutions designed to remove battery life limitations and provide hours of enjoyment from portable electronic devices. The Philips Power4Life range, showcased at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show, includes the Power2Charge and Power2Go lines. These dynamic accessories will charge everything from a mobile phone to a laptop for hours.
Portable electronic devices such as mobile phones, digital cameras, MP3 players and PDAs each require their own power adapter. Power2Charge is an adapter solution that charges all portable electronic devices with just one universal charger, removing the need to carry several chargers at once. This family offers three universal USB chargers and two universal USB car chargers for maximum convenience at the office, at home or on the move.
The flagship universal USB charger is the SCM7880. It supplies up to 5V of power and features a backup energy solution for up to 15 hours of portable power, an LED indicator and a space-friendly foldable plug. The Philips SCM7880 has six connector tips and comes with a retractable USB cable along with a handy travel bag.
The Power2Charge product introductions include:
The Philips Power2Go collection allows portable electronic devices to be charged up to 60 hours anywhere, anytime, anyplace without the need of a power outlet. Ranging from a top-of-the line rechargeable power pack to an emergency phone charger, the Power2Go range provides an outstanding backup energy source for all portable electronic devices.
The most imaginary Power2Go solution, the SCE4430, provides backup energy for portable electronic devices. When fully charged, you can charge e.g. your MP3 player, PDA and mobile phone for up to 30 hours use when you are on the go. Its bigger brother (SCE 7640), has a higher capacity (up to 60 hours) and is even able to charge laptops as well. The tiny SCE2110 benefits consumers who only need portable power for their mobile phones. With five connector tips and an LED indicator, the SCE2110 ensures the user can always stay in touch.

The Power4Life collection will be available in the second quarter of 2008 for a suggested retail price range of $ 14.95 to $ 149.95.
